Health Services

Support is Available 24 Hours a Day.

University Health Services (UHS) provides outpatient care to all eligible Kent State students. If you are feeling sick or overwhelmed, or just need a prescription filled, UHS is located in the DeWeese Health Center on Eastway Drive.

Services offered:

  • 24-Hour Nurse
    The Kent State Nurse Line is available to you 24 hours a day to provide medical assessment and help you decide what to do next. If you need to see a health care provider, the nurse will assist in making those connections.
  • Psychological Services
    Adjusting to college life can be challenging. You might be living on your own for the first time in a new setting with new friends with what seems like an immense amount of pressure. You aren’t alone. Just ask. Help is always available.
  • Women’s Health Services
    The experienced staff of nurse practitioners, nurses and physicians are committed to assisting you in maintaining your physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. Services include general and gynecological exams, breast exams, vaginal and menstrual issues, and much more.
  • Health Promotion
    The Office of Health Promotion (OHP) addresses high-priority health issues through special events and programming.
  • Pharmacy
    The pharmacy at University Health Services fills prescriptions and provides over-the-counter medications to the students of Kent State University.
  • Physical Therapy
    Physical therapy and rehabilitation services are available to help individuals recover after illness or injury.
