Who are Kent State Student Ambassadors?
The Kent Student Ambassadors, also known as KSA, are a group of student leaders that represent many facets of the campus and community. Ambassadors take great pride in Kent State University and strive to show this in the events they host and the services they provide. As ambassadors, individuals serve as student representatives when welcoming and hosting honored guests and distinguished members of Kent State University. Ambassadors work at events all across campus.
What kind of events do the Ambassadors work?
Ambassadors volunteer to help with a number of assignments throughout the year based on their interest and comfort with different projects. These events include, but are not limited to:
- Campus tours
- Homecoming Weekend
- Commencement ceremonies
- Campus-wide departmental events
- The President's loge events for basketball and football games
- Relay For Life
Ambassadors also provide assistance and man-power for departmental events around campus. Students represent the university and the student body and promote the Alumni Association.
How are the Kent Student Ambassadors linked to the Alumni Association?
Kent Student Ambassadors is sponsored by the Kent State University Alumni Association, and by charter, have the privilege of working with distinguished alumni at various events and receptions.
What is the time commitment to be in KSA?
Kent Student Ambassadors have mandatory general meetings every other week on Mondays at 9 p.m. Each member must participate in four events in the fall semester and three in the spring semester, as well as Homecoming and Relay For Life. However, members are encouraged to participate in more than these minimum requirements if they have the time and to run for office as soon as they join the organization.
