With its four schools - Communication Studies, Visual Communication Design, Journalism and Mass Communication and Library and Information Science – and interdisciplinary program of Information Architecture and Knowledge Management, CCI Kent State offers courses and opportunities, providing students a broad educational perspective and intensive training.

The site officially launched on Monday, April 30 showcasing student photography, video and feature stories from India.
- Posted May. 3, 2012 - Four Kent State Students Earn $3,000 Scholarships Six area college students were selected for scholarships in memory of longtime Akron Beacon Journal editor John S. Knight and public relations professional Ludel Sauvageot. A seventh student has received a scholarship from the Akron Press Club. This year Kent State students from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication earned four of the seven coveted $3,000 scholarships.
